Killing for Protection from Popcorn

In Florida, one man in a movie theator shot another who was texting during the previews. A verbal argument grew “violent” when the texter threw some popcorn at the other man, who promptly pulled out a pistol and shot him dead.

The numbers of utterly senseless killings with guns so very badly outnumbers the rare times when a gun actually provides some sort of defensive purpose that the NRA position (we should all be armed for self-protection) is an utterly absurd farce. There is absolutely no credible reason for the NRA opposition to greater gun control. They are without excuse for holding a view for which a great many innocent people die.
