Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom

Our world desperately needs leaders marked by uncommon wisdom. The opposite of foolishness, wisdom is the ability to make decisions which lead to good consequences.

Wisdom must be built on understanding, an understanding of reality, of facts. A pretense to wisdom with no understanding is hubris and foolishness wrapped into a ball of ignorance.

There can be no understanding of reality, obviously, for the person who is ignorant of the facts. Facts must be recognized, accepted, understood, and used as the basis for wise decision making.

One needn’t ponder such ideals for long to realize what a disaster it is if a major country is led by someone with a wilful disregard for reality. No one who rejects truth as of fundamental importance can be a person of understanding. And no one without understanding can make wise decisions.

When the strongest, most influential country in the world is led by a fool, all the world is in trouble.

If you have a mustard seed of faith, call on that faith now as you pray for our nation and our globe. We are entering a period of great trouble from which it will take years to recover.  We have foolishly chosen a fool to lead us and will pay a great price for out lack of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.

May the Lord kindly lead us out of our foolishness.
