Oddly enough, there were millions of people who believed that Trump the Candidate, complaining about the wealthy and making a (temporary) show of boasting about funding his own campaign so that he would owe no one anything, would become Trump the President, champion of the poor and the middle classes.
Surely there are not any who believe such an idea. Looking at his views on health care and scanning his budget proposal leaves absolutely no room for thinking he considers the great majority of Americans as little more than fodder for the work force.
There are some expansions in his budget, such as military and police and border forces, all paid at the expense of the poor, the schools, the arts, and our international friends.
Much as I want to stay civil, I’ve not been able. I have despised Trump from the first time he mentioned the idea of running for president and now I find him far more despicable than ever. He is a deceitful manipulator who has successfully suckered America into choosing him as the leader of the free world. What an incredible mistake!
I am completely baffled that there are people who do not see how very much Trump is like the Hitler of 1933-34. Sure, America is too strong to let him become the Hitler of 1938-45. . .aren’t we? . . . but he is certainly setting us on the same track.
